Applied Scientist

Role: Applied Scientist – Machine Learning

Location: Gurugram, India (Onsite)

Type: Full-time / Permanent

About the Role:

This position bridges applied ML research and production engineering to shape the scientific direction of recrew ai's Causal Intelligence Platform. The Applied Scientist will design and deploy ML systems that transform complex industrial data—including time-series, logs, waveforms, documents, alarms, and images—into actionable root-cause insights for engineers in semiconductor fabs, utilities, and advanced manufacturing lines.

Key technical focus areas include LLM/RAG pipelines (structured extraction, hybrid search), scalable multimodal ingestion frameworks, and diagnostics across industrial datasets. You will own outcomes from research to deployment, defining benchmarks and collaborating with engineering teams to productize models for real-world impact.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in AI/ML, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of experience in ML research or applied roles with strong Python skills.
• Proven expertise in LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to build time-series models for anomaly detection and statistical signal processing.

Nice-to-haves include experience in semiconductor/manufacturing domains, building autonomous agents, or contributing to open-source ML tooling. Join a seed-funded startup with ESOPs where you can make an immediate impact on frontier problems.
