Position: Open Source Applied Engineer

This is an hourly contract position offering significant flexibility and competitive compensation. As an Open Source Applied Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI development through rigorous evaluation and contribution.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and manage comprehensive evaluations for coding tasks across a variety of programming languages.
• Develop sophisticated test cases to rigorously assess system performance in diverse and challenging engineering scenarios.
• Analyze system behavior using real-world use cases to pinpoint both strengths and areas requiring enhancement.
• Clearly communicate evaluation findings and insights to research teams to facilitate system optimization.
• Contribute your specialized expertise to enhance the scalability, performance, and overall code quality of AI systems.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated strong experience contributing to open-source projects, with a proven record of consistent, high-quality contributions.
• Proficiency in one or more key programming languages such as Python, Java, C, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Solid familiarity with widely adopted libraries, frameworks, and development tools.
• A strong understanding of software architecture principles, performance tuning techniques, and scalable design patterns.
• Extensive experience utilizing Git, CI/CD systems, and established open-source collaboration workflows.
• The ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively within distributed, asynchronous team environments.
