Applied AI Platform Engineer

Role Overview

The Applied AI Platform Engineer (BOOMI Integration Engineer) - Lead Software Engineer I role requires a hands-on approach to building platforms, tooling, accelerators, and frameworks for other engineering teams. You will deliver platform capabilities that delight engineers while driving value across Deloitte's AI investments.

• Tech Advocacy: Serve as the technical advocate for platform integrity, feasibility, and alignment with consuming teams' needs.
• Architecture & Design: Lead requirement discovery, low-level architecture design of AI control planes, development, testing, integration, and support.
• Maintenance: Manage dependencies, code design, policy-as-code enforcement layers (OpenTelemetry), ensuring operable, instrumented, performant systems.
• Innovation: Stay hands-on with new languages/frameworks; codify patterns into reusable components to meet platform KPIs like adoption and reliability-by-design.
• Collaboration: Work effectively with diverse teams including engineering, SRE, security, data governance, and leadership. Integrate constraints (security/compliance) into paved roads so the secure path is easy.
  

Candidate Profile

We seek a role model who leverages techniques to optimize platform solutioning. You will possess deep expertise in modern AI/ML infrastructure, internal developer platforms, MLOps/LLMOps, vector infrastructure, and policy-as-code.

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science or related).
• Experience: 10+ years software/platform engineering; strong hands-on experience with BOOMI Integration.
• Tech Stack Proficiency: Angular, React, NodeJS, Python (Mandatory), C#, .NET, Java, Rust, SQL/NoSQL, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Terraform.
• AI/ML Platform Experience: 3+ years designing/building operating AI platforms; experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Kubernetes/Docker.
