Applied AI Engineer

Role: Applied AI Engineer – Full Time, Onsite

About Us: QuantaNova Technologies seeks an engineer who combines strong software fundamentals with expertise in deploying production-grade applications powered by large language models. We are building the next generation of systematic investment infrastructure driven by MIT graduates and hedge fund experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy production-grade applications using LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and agentic workflows.
• Build AI systems for research, information retrieval, data search, code generation, and workflow automation.
• Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, retrieval systems, and orchestration layers supporting complex AI applications.
• Create agents that interact reliably with internal data sources, databases, external tools, and public APIs.
• Take ownership of full system lifecycles from architecture through deployment, monitoring, debugging, and iteration.
• Engineer for scalability, reliability, low latency, observability, and cost efficiency in production environments.

Requirements:

• B.Tech/M.Tech degree (or equivalent) from a top-tier institute.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience building LLM-based applications or AI workflows in production settings.
• Solid fundamentals in system design, data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, and software testing practices.
• Expert proficiency in Python with extensive experience constructing robust backend systems.
• Hands-on expertise with RAG pipelines, LLM agents (including tool calling), embeddings, vector storage, and retrieval architectures.
• Familiarity with data engineering best practices using AWS cloud services, containers, and production deployment strategies.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with PyTorch, NumPy, pandas, or related numerical computing ecosystems.
• Background in building code-generation agents, developer tools for large-codebase retrieval, or specialized search systems.
