Applied AI Engineer
Full Job Description
NVIDIA is seeking an Applied AI Engineer specializing in DFT Methodology to join our innovative team in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. You will be instrumental in exploring and developing cutting-edge Applied AI solutions to address complex Design-for-Test (DFT) and Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) challenges within NVIDIA's semiconductor chips.
This role involves architecting and deploying end-to-end generative AI solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI workflows. You will develop predictive ML models to enhance the Silicon Lifecycle Management of our chips and collaborate closely with VLSI and DFX teams to understand their engineering needs and craft bespoke AI-driven solutions. Furthermore, you'll partner with cross-functional AI teams to contribute to the advancement of generative AI technologies and integrate Agentic AI workflows into existing applications.
Key responsibilities include defining data strategies for next-generation AI use cases and mentoring junior engineers on test design principles, considering cost and quality trade-offs. We are looking for candidates with a BSEE or MSEE from reputable institutions and over 2 years of experience in DFT, VLSI, and Applied Machine Learning. A strong understanding of fundamental DFT and VLSI concepts (ATPG, scan, RTL & clock design, STA, place-n-route, power) is essential. Experience in applying AI to EDA problem-solving and proficiency in statistical analysis tools, along with programming skills in Perl, Python, C++, or TCL, are highly valued. You should possess excellent organization, time management, and communication skills, with the drive to work independently on challenging, impactful projects.
