Role Overview

Citi, the leading global bank, is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst (Assistant Vice President) to lead critical application systems analysis and programming initiatives. In this role, you will architect and deploy new or revised application ecosystems while delivering robust user support.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage deep expertise in feasibility studies, risk technology, IT planning, and model development to design scalable solutions meeting complex business needs.
• Spearhead the full software lifecycle: from analysis and architectural design through coding, rigorous testing, deployment, and post-implementation operational support.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical challenges using advanced programming knowledge to optimize system processes and industry standards compliance.
• Design and implement cutting-edge security measures based on post-usage analytics to ensure resilient system functionality.
• Act as a strategic advisor, coaching junior analysts while collaborating with cross-functional technology groups, external vendors, and clearinghouse representatives.
• Cultivate operational excellence by defining best-practice standards and ensuring adherence to essential procedures within the firm's ethical framework.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 7+ years of application development leadership experience specifically in financial services with hands-on mastery of Full Stack Java + Oracle environments.
• Proven track record resolving performance bottlenecks across data flows, database operations, ingestions, and exposure systems.
• Advanced proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies (Scrum), and JIRA workflows.
• Expertise in cloud-native principles to build highly resilient, scalable, and observable services within dynamic cloud infrastructures.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into daily development cycles for enhanced performance and efficiency.
