Application Security Analyst

About This Role

Alignerr is seeking a talented Application Security Analyst to partner with world-class AI research teams. This role focuses on understanding real-world software vulnerabilities and their emergence in live production systems. You will work with realistic application security scenarios to train AI systems in assessing, prioritizing, and remediating risks. This is a Contract / Task-Based position with a commitment of 10-40 hours per week. The compensation is $38-$60 per hour and the role is Remote.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of application security scenarios across code, APIs, and system behavior.
• Accurately classify diverse vulnerabilities, including authentication flaws, injection risks, and business logic issues.
• Assess secure coding practices and develop effective remediation strategies.
• Contribute to the creation and validation of security-focused reasoning datasets to enhance AI's ability to accurately assess application risks.

Qualifications

• Possess 2+ years of experience in application, product, or software security roles.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and common production vulnerabilities.
• Exhibit the ability to differentiate between real exploitability and theoretical risk.
• Possess clear written communication skills and structured security reasoning capabilities.
