Application Engineer

Keysight Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer with intermediate experience to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. In this role, you will be a key technical interface for customers utilizing PowerArtist, a leading RTL power analysis and optimization platform essential for top semiconductor and SoC companies.

This position offers significant customer interaction and exposure to advanced SoC programs. You will work closely with leading semiconductor customers to ensure their success in power optimization and estimation, a critical aspect given the industry's increasing focus on low-power design and faster tape-outs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers using PowerArtist.
• Facilitate rapid installation, deployment, and configuration of tools within customer environments.
• Set up and troubleshoot RTL power analysis flows, including libraries, VCD/FSDB files, and scripting.
• Provide timely and effective resolution for customer technical issues.
• Analyze power reports to identify power hotspots and recommend effective optimization strategies.
• Support the integration of PowerArtist with simulation and synthesis workflows.
• Conduct technical discussions, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
• Escalate complex technical challenges to the R&D team with comprehensive documentation.
• Ensure compliance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in RTL design or power analysis.
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with PowerArtist or similar RTL power estimation tools.
• A strong understanding of RTL design languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and the concepts of switching activity.
• Proficiency in dynamic and clock power analysis methodologies.
• Experience with VCD/FSDB waveform-based power estimation techniques.
• Familiarity with synthesis tools; experience with Design Compiler or Genus is preferred.
• Excellent debugging capabilities and proficiency in log analysis.
• Scripting skills in TCL, Shell, or Python for automation tasks.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
