Application Developer

About The Role

As an Application Developer, you will be instrumental in the design, construction, and configuration of applications to precisely meet business process and application requirements. Your daily activities will involve close collaboration with team members to thoroughly understand project needs, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring that applications are optimized for both performance and user experience. You will also actively participate in testing and debugging processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications that align with user expectations and overarching business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Reproduce and triage complex bugs across software, hardware, developer, and GenAI systems.
• Perform detailed log and stack trace analysis to pinpoint root causes.
• Execute structured queries (SQL) and utilize dashboards to identify trends and anomalies.
• Accurately label issues using pre-defined schemas, ensuring clarity for engineering handoff.
• Maintain triage documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and playbooks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate actionable reports supported by robust technical evidence.

Required Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in log analysis, including crash logs, runtime outputs, and emulator/simulator environments.
• Ability to query and analyze structured and unstructured data using SQL, JSON, and Regex.
• Experience with debugging tools such as Logcat, Xcode Console, DevTools, Postman, and Firebase.
• Familiarity with APIs, client-server architectures, and backend debugging principles.
• Understanding of GenAI concepts, including LLM behavior, prompt engineering, and common failure modes.
• Hardware triage skills relevant to wearables, XR devices, device setup, battery/sensor behavior, and ADB commands.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Scripting and automation using Python or shell commands.
• Knowledge of Unity (C#), Unreal Engine (C++), or Android development frameworks.
• Familiarity with experimentation/A-B testing methodologies and their impact on product reliability.
• Experience with dashboard creation for monitoring service health and interpreting key metrics.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective written documentation skills and clear escalation practices.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
