Application Developer

About the Role

As an Application Developer at Accenture, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and configuring applications to meet critical business process and application requirements. This is a support-focused role, ideal for experienced professionals who excel at turning around complex, large-scale projects, transformations, and migrations. You will be responsible for assessing current states, defining recovery solutions, and executing turnaround plans to stabilize delivery performance and address troubled projects through hands-on problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the recovery, stabilization, and realignment of projects facing significant delivery challenges, from issue identification and impact assessment to solutioning and execution.
• Leverage experience in delivery governance frameworks aligned with TDLC, Agile, or SAFe methodologies, ensuring adherence to sprint cycles, milestones, and process standards.
• Provide PMO support for monitoring and enhancing Delivery Experience (DEX), driving reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and improving delivery quality with measurable KPIs.
• Gather metrics and prepare reports for Steering Committees, executive connects, and status reviews to ensure transparency and stakeholder alignment.
• Track and analyze key schedule, quality, and financial metrics (e.g., SPI, burn rate, forecast accuracy, margin, budget compliance).
• Identify cost leakages and lead commercial resets and Estimate at Completion (EAC) recovery initiatives.
• Track delivery risks and implement preventive or corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal audits, InfoSec requirements, and quality gates.
• Provide hands-on support to address complex technical and project-level challenges across teams.
• Drive excellence through agile methodologies, quality frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain hands-on experience in at least one major enterprise platform such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, o9 Solutions, or other supply chain platforms.
• Apply Agile and SI delivery principles with a focus on transformation excellence, governance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Manage day-to-day execution, sprint coordination, issue tracking, and team-level quality management, including team coaching.
• Create MPP/MSPS plans, track schedule, cost, and quality. Track effort variance, rework costs, and non-compliance cost impact.
• Manage RAID logs, support internal compliance, and documentation.
• Mentor technical teams, and develop reusable assets, knowledge bases, and recovery playbooks.
• Support issue closure by working with leads, testers, and developers to remove delivery bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with client testers, business SMEs, and platform leads for dependency resolution.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Good-to-Have Skills:

• DevOps
• AMS experience
• Exposure to GenAI technologies
• Support workforce planning, readiness tracking, and onboarding quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience is required. Additional information suggests 7-12 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
• 15 years of full-time education is required.
• Relevant certifications such as PMI, PRINCE2, or platform-specific certifications (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, o9, Supply Chain Platform) are desirable.
