Application Developer

As an Application Developer at Accenture in Gurugram, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and configuring applications to meet critical business process and application requirements. You will engage in a dynamic work environment, analyzing, designing, coding, and testing various components of application code for multiple clients. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to ensure the successful implementation of software solutions, addressing challenges, and contributing to the overall improvement of application performance and functionality. You will also participate in maintenance and enhancement activities, ensuring existing systems remain efficient and effective.

Key responsibilities include writing high-quality production code and configurations, integrating with third-party providers, and working with cross-functional teams across geographies. You will produce high-quality code and unit tests, conduct integration testing, and independently troubleshoot issues. Understanding requirements and resolving ambiguity to develop solutions is crucial. You will also review production code, identify opportunities for process improvements, and provide mentoring to junior resources. Basic knowledge in C++ is also expected.

Skills and Qualifications required include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in Java development. Advanced Java knowledge, preferably Java 8+, is essential. A solid understanding of web technologies and protocols (HTTP, SSL, JavaScript, HTML, Certificates), JSON, and other data representation and transfer technologies (XML, SOAP, DTD) is required. Knowledge of Kotlin (Control Flow, Classes and Objects, Collections, Function, Null Safety, Coroutines) is beneficial. Expertise in application debugging, GUI development experience, and implementing third-party APIs with existing systems are highly valued. Familiarity with source control systems like Git, svn, or Perforce is necessary. Strong attention to detail, ability to manage conflicting priorities, and proven ability to arrive at solutions independently are expected. Basic Linux familiarity and experience working with teams in different time zones are a plus. Very strong communication skills for requirements clarification and troubleshooting are essential. This position requires 15 years of full-time education.
