API Testing

We are seeking a Senior API Testing Engineer with extensive experience in manual and automated testing of REST/SOAP APIs. The ideal candidate will ensure system integration integrity by validating requests, responses, headers, and payloads using industry-standard tools like Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger. Key responsibilities include developing automation frameworks (Java/Rest Assured, Python, JavaScript), managing CI/CD pipelines for API quality assurance, executing performance testing with JMeter, and collaborating within Agile teams to resolve defects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements to design comprehensive API test scenarios and cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, security (OAuth 2.0 JWT), and end-to-end testing for RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Create and maintain automated scripts using frameworks like Rest Assured or PyTest.
• Validate data integrity in SQL databases and ensure seamless API performance under load.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA leads to optimize test coverage and resolve issues rapidly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8-10 years of experience (Senior Level).
• Expertise in API testing concepts, HTTP methods, JSON/XML formats, and version control (Git).
• Hands-on proficiency with automation tools: Postman, SoapUI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and container technologies like Docker/Kubernetes is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification such as ISTQB API Specialist or Security testing expertise (OWASP ZAP).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and foster a collaborative team environment in Agile/Scrum settings.
