API SDE II

Role Overview

We are seeking an API Software Development Engineer II (L09) to join our dynamic Engineering Team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge tech stacks for high-volume transactions processing millions of cardholders daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Influence collaboration to create amazing APIs
• Coach junior engineers on efficiency and best practices
• Maintain code quality through rigorous reviews in Agile scrums (SAFe ceremonies)
• Troubleshoot production defects, analyze root causes, and implement resilient fixes
• Promote technical excellence across Engineering Communities of Practices (CoPs)

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience (min 5 years total tech / min 2 years API dev with Java & Spring Framework)
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot/Cloud/Data JPA/Kafka/Git/Maven
• Experience designing microservices using SOLID principles and 12-factor app methodology
• Knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle/PostgreSQL), SQL optimization, and unit/integration testing (JUnit/Mockito)
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD (Jenkins), monitoring tools (Splunk/CloudWatch/ELK), and static analysis (Sonar/PMD)
