Role Overview

Animall is seeking a hands-on Computer Vision / Applied ML Engineer to lead and scale the machine learning systems that power our B2B and Classifieds modules. This role is specifically focused on image intelligence, moderation, quality scoring, duplicate detection, and data-driven automation, rather than core generative AI or chatbot technologies. You will collaborate closely with product and backend teams to design, deploy, and optimize production-grade ML systems that are crucial for enhancing marketplace quality and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

Computer Vision & Image Intelligence

Develop and optimize image processing pipelines utilizing OpenCV.
Implement object detection, classification, and feature matching models.
Create systems for detecting duplicate and near-duplicate images.
Enhance listing quality through automated image scoring and validation processes.
Optimize model inference for low-latency production environments.

ML Model Development & Deployment

Train, fine-tune, and deploy deep learning models, with a preference for PyTorch.
Work with detection architectures such as YOLO and Faster R-CNN.
Implement evaluation pipelines and establish model monitoring practices.
Improve precision and recall for moderation and classification systems.

Data & Infrastructure

Design and integrate clean ML pipelines with backend systems.
Utilize SQL databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Build automated workflows encompassing batch processing and scheduled jobs.
Containerize and deploy models using Docker.
Work with AWS services including S3, ECR, and various compute services.

Quality & Moderation Systems

Develop ML-based systems for listing moderation.
Detect fraudulent or spam listings by leveraging image and metadata signals.
Enhance marketplace trust and content quality through the application of ML.

Required Skills

Demonstrated expertise in Computer Vision and Image Processing.
Hands-on experience with OpenCV.
Experience with Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Proficiency in working with Object Detection models.
Strong understanding of model training, evaluation, and optimization techniques.
Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
Proficiency in SQL databases.
Experience with Docker-based deployment.
Familiarity with AWS services (S3, ECR, compute services).

Good To Have

Experience with feature matching and similarity search.
Basic understanding and application of MLOps practices.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.

Experience
