Citi is hiring an Angular Software Engineer for its Digital Banking team in Pune. You will join a cross-functional Agile team building customer-facing banking and credit card features across web and mobile channels.
About the Role
In this position, you will contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis to post-production support—directly impacting millions of users globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend applications using Angular and Java Spring Boot microservices across digital channels.
- Translate designs into clean, secure, scalable code with full ownership from development to production.
- Create automated and manual test scripts using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks within a CI/CD environment.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot for faster component development and API scaffolding.
- Ensure accessibility compliance against ADA guidelines and responsive design standards.
- Analyze defects, collaborate on root cause resolution, and support stable deployments.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in full-stack web development or testing with strong Angular skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related STEM field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across onshore/offshore teams.
Beneficial Skills
- Experience with Selenium/Cucumber test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with OpenShift or similar cloud platforms (e.g., AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools like NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, or Ax.
