Android Engineer

Infilect, a leader in visual intelligence for worldwide retail, is seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Android Engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation AI-driven mobile applications. This full-time position is based in Bangalore, India, and requires 2 to 3 years of startup or industry experience. The role involves powering and scaling enterprise SaaS products.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in technology development, documentation, code reviews, architecture, and design discussions.
• Scale the existing Android application to accommodate increasing user counts and complexities.
• Design data collection pipelines for gathering user interaction information from the app.
• Conceptualize and optimize end-to-end on-device AI implementations.
• Conduct research and development to optimize the application and innovate in seamless image capturing using the latest global technological advancements.
• Develop comprehensive sales force automation applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers on requirements, Engineering Managers on sprint planning, Product Designers on UI/UX, and the Backend team on API design.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with mobile app technologies like Java and Kotlin.
• Proven experience in developing and testing REST API-based products.
• Strong reasoning, programming, and scripting skills, including Android development and JS/AngularJS development.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies, CI/CD, sprints, and code reviews.
• Experience with data management tools such as SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of architecture and design patterns (e.g., MVVM) and native Android development.
• Knowledge of offline data storage and security principles.
• Familiarity with modern Android advancements, including Kotlin, Data Binding, Room, Work Manager, CameraX, Dagger2, and Hilt.

Good-to-have Skills:

• Machine Learning experience with TensorFlow Lite or other on-device AI frameworks.
• Experience building iOS or hybrid apps (Swift, React Native, Flutter).
• Knowledge of KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile).
