Android Developer

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Android developer to join our growing team at Acyuta Technologies in Mumbai. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining mobile applications, working on both native Android and cross-platform solutions.

As an integral part of our development team, you'll be responsible for the entire mobile app lifecycle, from concept to release. This includes designing and developing new features, maintaining existing codebases with bug fixing, and ensuring high performance and reliability. You'll leverage your expertise in Kotlin, React Native, RESTful APIs, and various mobile technologies to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop native Android applications using Kotlin and cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Implement comprehensive tests to ensure code robustness and application performance.
• Address and resolve bugs in existing mobile applications, and contribute to the implementation of new features.
• Integrate and manage external software libraries and APIs.
• Work with integrated Google features such as Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), GPS, and Push Notifications.
• Collaborate with designers to translate design templates into functional and visually appealing applications.
• Build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable code.
• Convert existing Java code to Kotlin or React Native based on evolving business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Application Performance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in the full application lifecycle for both Native Android and Cross-Platform development (concept, design, test, release, support).
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, framework utilization, and common design patterns.
• Proficiency with Android Studio and Android SDK tools.
• Expertise in connecting mobile applications to back-end services using RESTful APIs.
• Excellent knowledge of Java, Kotlin (for Native Android), and/or React Native (for cross-platform).
• Familiarity with mobile application development, including the use of device hardware like accelerometers, cameras, GPS, FCM, Push Notifications, and gyroscopes.
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a cross-functional team and adept at handling code written by others, including bug fixing and refactoring legacy code.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
