Android Developer

Carmatec is searching for a passionate Android Developer for their dynamic Mobile App Development team in Bengaluru, India. This role provides a chance to make a significant impact as an established Android Developer and collaborate with seasoned professionals committed to revolutionizing app development. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise in Java for Android and the Eclipse IDE, and will also serve as a Lead for the Android Team. Key responsibilities include managing the entire software development lifecycle, end-to-end. Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, various Android versions, handling diverse screen sizes, and developing multilingual apps is essential. Experience with Android services and broadcast receivers, integrating chat functionalities using third-party libraries, and social media sharing is also required. Familiarity with Material Design and design patterns, connecting Android applications to back-end services via RESTful APIs, and proficiency in SQL and other databases like phpMyAdmin and MySQL are crucial. The role also demands experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, and utilizing additional sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers. A solid understanding of the open-source Android ecosystem and available libraries, cloud message APIs, push notifications, and Google APIs is expected. Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git is mandatory. Prior experience with releasing apps on the Play Store (both freeware and paid) including signature certificate integration, utilizing analytics and crashing tools, and conducting vulnerability code reviews is highly valued. This is a permanent full-time position requiring 2 to 4 years of experience.
