Role Overview
D. E. Shaw is seeking a Data Analyst/Senior Analyst for the Corporate Actions team in Gurugram/Hyderabad (India). This role supports quantitative and discretionary investment strategies by managing critical data processes, delivering structured analytical support, and partnering with Front Office and Technology functions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Track and maintain corporate actions for companies across global markets to ensure timely, accurate data supporting trading workflows.
- Analyze and quantify the impact of corporate events on stock prices, focusing on key dates and terms.
- Validate inputs from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and create value-added reports for investment decisions.
- Collaborate with global teams to identify process improvements and drive efficiency enhancements in real-time trading environments.
Qualifications
Essential: A Master's degree in Finance or related field, 1–2.5 years of experience in corporate actions, middle office operations, securities operations, financial research, or analytics. Must have strong attention to detail for market-sensitive data and proficiency in Microsoft Excel with basic Unix/Linux familiarity.
Preferred: Experience with Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ (CapIQ), Reuters, ICE; knowledge of SQL, Python, automation tools, and AI technologies.
