Analyst

Join EY as an Analyst in Reporting and Technology, based in Gurgaon, India. This role is part of the Risk Management Service line, specifically within Global Compliance Engagement Testing (GCET). GCET plays a crucial role in supporting Global Risk Management by conducting compliance testing across various Service Lines to ensure adherence to Legal & Regulatory requirements and EY's internal policies. The program involves selecting engagements for review, testing them against compliance standards, and providing feedback and ratings. The team also generates analytical reports for Global, Area, and Region stakeholders.

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust business intelligence solutions to effectively communicate data insights in today's big data landscape. Your work will facilitate process optimization and informed decision-making by identifying risks, patterns, and correlations within large datasets. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to strengthening EY's compliance framework while gaining exposure to global risk management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using analytics and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data models and databases.
• Provide technical support for analytics tools and platforms.
• Participate in data governance and data management strategies.
• Stay current with industry trends and analytics best practices.
• Contribute to the documentation of analytics processes and findings.
• Support ad-hoc analytics projects.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

Technical Attributes:

• Basic understanding of data analysis principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts.
• Introductory knowledge of database concepts.
• Awareness of BI concepts and the purpose of dashboards and reports.
• Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, basic data manipulation).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a data analytics/business intelligence role or data analysis and reporting.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Knowledge of risk management attributes.

Technologies and Tools:

• Good experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
• Experience in MS Office suites (Microsoft 365, PowerPoint).
