Job Description

As an Analyst for Advanced Data Analytics and Insights within Fidelity's Fraud Risk and Control (FRC) organization, you will be instrumental in developing and supporting fraud response and reporting initiatives. The FRC team, part of Enterprise Cyber Security, is dedicated to preventing, detecting, and responding to fraud incidents across the entire Fidelity enterprise. This role demands a robust combination of technical expertise and business acumen to create comprehensive fraud loss and performance reports. These reports will drive risk mitigation strategies, optimize decision-making processes, and support cross-functional product and engineering efforts. Additionally, this position offers opportunities to provide critical analytics support for the investigation of significant ongoing fraud incidents.

The Team: Fraud Analytics is a key component of Fraud Risk & Control, contributing significantly to the protection of Fidelity assets from account takeover, account owner fraud, and identity theft. The Fraud Analytics team collaborates closely with the Cyber Fraud Fusion Center, Investigation Teams, and business partners throughout the Enterprise.

Your Value Delivery:

• Develop and build essential fraud reporting capabilities to define and monitor key risk indicators focused on loss reduction, control efficacy, detection strategy effectiveness, and fraud operational efficiency.
• Construct fraud reporting frameworks, gather data to substantiate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and employ analytics to identify fraud trends, patterns, and assess detection efficacy.
• Contribute to the development of capabilities for predictive models and forecasting tools for fraud loss, customer service demand, and fraud detection.
• Utilize analytics to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and uncover granular insights that can be acted upon, ensuring strict adherence to fraud policy.
• Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and finance teams to foster data-driven decision-making and advance cross-functional initiatives.
• Create intuitive self-service analytics tools and dashboards to empower business users and streamline reporting processes, reducing manual efforts.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in technical skills including SQL, Python, AWS, A/B testing, and predictive modeling.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, and finance.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk governance frameworks.

Expertise Sought:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, and risk management.
• A track record of successfully delivering impactful reporting and analytics solutions.
• Exposure to risk and fraud strategy, personalization, payment optimization, and forecasting methodologies.
• Prior experience with fraud loss forecasting models, fraud detection tools, and customer engagement analytics is considered a significant advantage.
