Amazon Connect Fullstack Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Contact Center Development: Design advanced Amazon Connect flows for voice and chat integrating Lambda functions, Lex bots, Q in Connect features, and third-party systems like CRM platforms.
  
• Backend Engineering: Develop scalable serverless backend services using Python or Node.js that leverage AWS API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Kinesis, Secrets Manager, CloudFront, and other core AWS resources.

• Frontend Development: Build responsive agent/customer interfaces in React (JavaScript) ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
  
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines via GitLab to ensure efficient, repeatable deployments.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Create comprehensive manual test cases for Connect flows, APIs, and front-end applications. Perform rigorous integration testing across AWS services and external systems like CRMs. Track defects using industry-standard tools and collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues before release.

• Ensure high test coverage addressing security vulnerabilities, scalability bottlenecks, and cost efficiency.
  
• Monitor logs, metrics, and alerts via CloudWatch and Kinesis to proactively identify performance degradation or stability risks.

Lifecycle Support & Maintenance

Provide expert L2/L3 support for deployed Amazon Connect solutions. Troubleshoot complex production issues in collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Document incidents, fixes, and best practices to enhance knowledge sharing and team reusability. Participate in on-call rotations as needed to maintain 99% uptime.

Basic Qualifications

You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3–6 years of professional experience building software solutions for enterprise clients.
Essential Skills:

• AWS Expertise (2+ Years): Hands-on experience delivering Amazon Connect solutions, including contact flow design, Lambda/API integrations, Lex virtual agents, Q in Connect evaluations, and using AWS services like DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation.
  
• Languages: Proficiency in Python for backend logic, Node.js for serverless functions, JavaScript/React for UI development.

You must demonstrate strong debugging abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to balance security requirements with cost-effectiveness. Experience providing production support or handling on-call duties is preferred.
Testing Skills: Ability to design test cases, execute manual tests, track defects, and understand automation basics.

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out as a top candidate for this role we would love if you have experience with:

• Terraform: Building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions specifically tailored to AWS environments.
  
• GitLab CI/CD: Integrating automated test execution into pipelines to streamline the development lifecycle.

Familiarity with analytics tools such as Contact Lens, Kinesis Data Analytics, Athena for querying data lakes, or QuickSight for visualization dashboards would be beneficial. Experience integrating Salesforce CRMs and using API testing tools like Postman is also highly valued in our contact center environment.
