Full Job Description

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is actively recruiting an AI/RPA SME for the Mobile Training Team 2 (MTT 2) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. This critical role requires a candidate with an active TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and their government client. The position involves delivering advanced technical instruction on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms. Responsibilities include conducting hands-on training sessions, developing proof-of-concept automations, and collaborating closely with military personnel to optimize operational workflows. This is a full-time, onsite position with a competitive salary range.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying to Air Combat Command (ACC) wings for multi-week regional rotations, covering Western CONUS/OCONUS locations such as Davis-Monthan, Nellis, Mountain Home, Kadena, and nearby wings.
  • Providing expert technical instruction on AI/ML and RPA platforms like AskSage, UiPath, and Microsoft Power Automate, utilizing DoD-approved tools.
  • Facilitating hands-on Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) labs for Airmen to build automations, test AI queries, and practice responsible AI workflows.
  • Delivering Tier 3 technical training to Regional Cluster B personnel, focusing on integrating AI/RPA into mission-critical functions including intelligence analysis, mission planning, and logistics coordination.
  • Responding to complex technical inquiries regarding platform capabilities, integration strategies, and security compliance in real-time.
  • Conducting live RPA demonstrations during wing visits, showcasing operational workflows and sanitized data.
  • Rapidly building on-site proof-of-concept automations (within 2-3 days) to address unit-specific challenges identified during discovery sessions.
  • Demonstrating AI query techniques, prompt engineering, and output validation using mission-relevant scenarios.
  • Clearly illustrating the practical application of working bots and AI workflows for Airmen to understand and envision utilizing.
  • Leading workflow discovery interviews with Regional Cluster B wing personnel to pinpoint automation opportunities.
  • Documenting unit-specific use cases with structured intake criteria, including process inputs, decision points, data sources, classification levels, manual workload, and integration needs.
  • Scoring automation potential and mission impact to prioritize prototype development.
  • Generating technical requirements packages for JBLE-based AI/RPA Solutions Architects and RPA Developers.
  • Ensuring a continuous stream of use-case intake from wing visits for the prototype development pipeline.
  • Conducting technical instruction and workflow discovery within SIPRNet and AFSCI environments at Regional Cluster B ISR Wings.
  • Building proof-of-concept automations on classified networks using approved platforms and data handling protocols.
  • Advising on classification-appropriate AI/RPA integration patterns and security compliance.
  • Coordinating classified solution transition planning with JBLE-based Senior AI/Data SMEs (TS/SCI).
  • Operating as a two-person team with MTT 2's Change Management Specialist during wing visits.
  • Coordinating technical demonstrations with adoption workshops and stakeholder engagement.
  • Translating technical capabilities into mission-relevant value propositions for diverse audiences.
  • Supporting solution-a-thons and ideation events by providing real-time technical feasibility assessments.

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum Secret clearance at project start.
  • Active, current, and in-scope TS/SCI clearance for ISR Wing Visits or classified environment assignments (interim clearances are not accepted).
  • Over 4 years of hands-on AI/ML and RPA solution development and deployment within DoD environments.
  • Demonstrated success in building and deploying operational AI/RPA solutions, not solely research or theoretical work.
  • Experience delivering technical training, demonstrations, or hands-on labs to military or federal civilian personnel.
  • Familiarity with Air Force or DoD operational workflows (e.g., intelligence, mission planning, logistics).
  • At least one of the following certifications: UiPath Certified RPA Associate or Microsoft Power Automate certification (both preferred).
  • CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8140.03 baseline) certification.
  • Proven hands-on VILT and lab delivery experience (examples required).
  • Expert proficiency with UiPath Studio and Microsoft Power Automate (desktop and cloud flows).
  • Strong knowledge of DoD-approved AI/ML platforms (e.g., AskSage, Advana, GenAI.mil).
  • Experience with prompt engineering, output validation, and responsible AI practices.
  • Knowledge of API integration, database connectivity, and data transformation for automation.
  • Familiarity with NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI network environments and security protocols.
  • Ability to build rapid prototypes (2-3 days) with limited resources and unfamiliar data.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) certification.
  • AI Engineer certification or equivalent.
  • UiPath Advanced RPA Developer certification.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate certification.
  • Experience supporting Air Force ISR Wings, intelligence squadrons, or combat operations centers.
  • Background in intelligence analysis, mission planning, or related operational workflows.
  • Previous experience with DoD AI platforms like Advana or AskSage.
  • Experience conducting workflow discovery and requirements elicitation in military settings.
  • Familiarity with GIDE or similar multi-domain integration efforts.
  • Understanding of DoD data governance, accreditation, and security compliance for AI/RPA.
  • A background in teaching, training, or instructional design.

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with company matching, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, and three weeks of paid time off.
