AI/ML R&D Engineer

Join Welocalize as an AI/ML R&D Engineer in Noida, India, and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge machine learning solutions. You will own projects from inception to deployment, utilizing cloud services and adhering to best practices for optimizing and measuring model performance against business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development for machine learning models, focusing on areas like machine translation and quality assurance for localization and business workflows. Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and iterate for continuous improvement.
• Write high-quality, robust, well-documented, and structured Python code.
• Define and design innovative solutions for complex machine learning challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment.

Success will be measured by effective model development, positive team collaboration, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, and clear communication of findings and insights.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and classification.
• Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in writing robust, production-grade Python code.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven experience in taking ownership of projects from conception to deployment and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience deploying and managing Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments.
• High proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies including EC2, S3, SageMaker, and other deployment strategies.
• Experience with ML management technologies and deployment techniques like Docker and GPU deployments.

Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (PhD is a plus).
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in AI/ML research and development.
