AI/ML Engineer

Role Overview

KLA is seeking an AI/ML Engineer – Systems located in Ann Arbor, MI. This role focuses on transforming cutting-edge AI/ML research into reliable, scalable production systems within the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration & Reliability: Seamlessly integrate AI/ML components into existing applications and pipelines with a strong emphasis on long-term maintainability.
  
  
• Performance Optimization: Enhance system performance regarding latency, throughput, reliability, and resource efficiency while navigating practical trade-offs.

• System Design & Scalability: Collaborate to design resilient AI/ML systems capable of evolving alongside new use cases.
  
  
• Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and maintain robust observability in production environments.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with diverse teams to deliver stable, high-impact AI capabilities and lead technical projects effectively.
  
  

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience deploying ML solutions in production environments (specifically RAG is critical).
• Proficiency in Python with libraries such as TensorFlow and Scikit-learn.
• Strong background in statistics, deep learning, neural networks, and system architecture.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• MLOps practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and rollback strategies.
  
  
• Familiarity with containerized/cloud-based deployment environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
