AIML Data Scientist Opportunity at Cognizant in Bangalore

Cognizant is seeking a hands-on AIML Data Scientist with a consultative approach to leverage Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms for solving complex business challenges. This role is based in Bangalore, India, and will involve in-person interviews. As an AIML Data Scientist, you will be instrumental in:

• Applying a wide array of AI/ML techniques and algorithms to identify optimal solutions for business problems.
• Enhancing model accuracy to drive significant business impact.
• Estimating the business value derived from model deployments.
• Collaborating with domain and customer teams to understand business contexts and data, and implementing relevant Deep Learning solutions.
• Utilizing tools and scripts for comprehensive data pre-processing and feature engineering, including Python, R, SQL, and cloud data pipelines.
• Designing, developing, and deploying Deep Learning models using TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Gaining experience with Deep Learning models for text, speech, image, and video data.
• Designing and developing NLP models for tasks such as Text Classification, Custom Entity Recognition, Relationship Extraction, Text Summarization, Topic Modeling, Reasoning over Knowledge Graphs, and Semantic Search, utilizing NLP tools like Spacy and open-source frameworks.
• Designing and developing Image Recognition and Video Analysis models using Deep Learning algorithms and open-source tools like OpenCV.
• Understanding state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms and optimizing/tuning models for maximum accuracy.
• Using visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau for outcome exploration, analysis, and model validation.
• Collaborating with application teams to deploy models on cloud platforms as services or on-premise.
• Implementing model deployment within Test/Control frameworks for tracking purposes.
• Building CI/CD pipelines for ML model deployment.
• Integrating AI&ML models with other applications using REST APIs and other connector technologies.
• Continuously upskilling and staying updated with the latest techniques and best practices, documenting AIML work and its impact through white papers and demonstrable assets.

Technology and Subject Matter Expertise Required:

• Solid expertise in machine learning, mathematical, and statistical sciences.
• Proficiency in versioning and collaborative tools such as Git/Github.
• Strong understanding of the AI solutions landscape, including cloud computing, GPU-based computation, data security and privacy, API gateways, microservices architecture, big data ingestion, storage, and processing, and CUDA Programming.
• Ability to transform prototype ideas into scalable, industrial-grade solutions.
• Capacity to quantify and estimate the impact of ML models.
