Full Job Description

As an AIML Data Scientist at Cognizant in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, you will be a hands-on problem solver applying advanced Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms to tackle complex business challenges. This role requires a consultative approach and a deep understanding of a wide array of AI/ML techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and apply optimal combinations of AI/ML techniques to solve specific business problems.
  • Enhance model accuracy to achieve greater business impact.
  • Quantify and estimate the business value derived from model deployments.
  • Collaborate with domain and customer teams to grasp business context and data dictionaries.
  • Apply relevant Deep Learning solutions to address defined business challenges.
  • Utilize tools and scripts for data preprocessing and feature engineering using Python, R, SQL, and cloud data pipelines.
  • Design, develop, and deploy Deep Learning models leveraging frameworks like Tensorflow and Pytorch.
  • Gain practical experience with Deep Learning models for text, speech, image, and video data analysis.
  • Design and develop Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for tasks such as Text Classification, Custom Entity Recognition, Relationship Extraction, Text Summarization, Topic Modeling, and Reasoning over Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Search using tools like Spacy and open-source frameworks.
  • Design and develop Image Recognition and Video Analysis models using Deep Learning algorithms and tools like OpenCV.
  • Stay abreast of state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms and apply them effectively.
  • Optimize and fine-tune Deep Learning models to achieve peak accuracy.
  • Employ visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau for exploring outcomes and validating models.
  • Work with application teams to deploy models on cloud platforms or on-premises environments.
  • Implement model deployment within Test/Control frameworks for effective tracking.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines specifically for ML model deployment.
  • Integrate AI/ML models with other applications via REST APIs and other connector technologies.
  • Continuously upskill and stay updated with the latest techniques and best practices in AIML.
  • Author white papers and create demonstrable assets to showcase AIML work and its impact.

Technology and Subject Matter Expertise

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in machine learning, mathematical, and statistical sciences.
  • Proficiency in using versioning and collaborative tools such as Git and Github.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the AI solutions landscape, including cloud computing, GPU-based compute, data security and privacy, API gateways, microservices architecture, big data ingestion, storage, and processing, and CUDA Programming.
  • Translate prototype-level ideas into scalable, industrial-grade solutions.
  • Effectively quantify and estimate the impact of ML models on business objectives.

  • Experience operationalizing Deep Learning models for clients and understanding the nuances of scaling them in real-world scenarios.
  • Familiarity with stream data processing, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), edge computing, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR).
  • Appreciation for digital ethics and data privacy principles.
  • Experience working with AI & Cognitive Services platforms such as Azure ML, IBM Watson, AWS SageMaker, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with platforms like DataRobot, Cognitive Scale, or H2O.AI.
