AI/Machine Learning Engineer 2

We are seeking an AI/Machine Learning Engineer 2 to join our team in Chennai, India. This role involves collaborating with customers to develop ML/AI applications tailored for specific markets and industries, with a focus on edge-based solutions that process significant data volumes at the edge. You will be instrumental in developing our ML/AI tool suite, reporting to the Senior Director of Software Engineering. This hands-on position requires articulating problem statements, planning, prioritizing, and executing resolutions, and addressing technical challenges. You will contribute to developing robust software architectures based on current technologies, share responsibility for group engineering objectives, and adhere to Agile practices for source control, builds, testing, and troubleshooting. Understanding and applying good software architectural principles is crucial. You will work closely with the Chief Storage Architect to realize the product vision and contribute to product innovation by staying current with emerging ML/AI technologies. We expect candidates to have a 4-year degree in AI/ML, 2-5 years of experience, proficiency with ML/AI tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Triton, strong command-line skills in Linux, and expertise in Python and bash scripting. Experience training and utilizing LLMs for specific use cases, data analysis, ETL, and familiarity with Nvidia GPUs and the Nvidia AI tool suite are essential. Knowledge of Kubeflow, Kserve, and Kuberay, along with experience in IDEs like VSC and Jupyter, is highly valued. Excellent customer communication skills, a willingness to develop industry domain knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote colleagues across different time zones are also required. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, and a demonstrated sense of ownership and teamwork, are key to success in this role.
