Full Job Description
About Reveal Technology
Founded in 2019, Reveal is a dynamic startup transforming field operations by equipping operators in remote, disconnected, and extreme environments with essential software tools and intelligence. We are the Digital Arms Room for the Modern Warrior, offering a tactical intelligence and automation platform for physical, human, and digital terrain at the edge. Our flagship products, Farsight (a 3D processing and mission planning platform) and Identifi (a secure identity verification solution), are complemented by Chronos and Anomaly 6, which further enhance our capabilities on the modern battlefield. Reveal is dedicated to serving defense, security, and public safety missions where time is critical, information is contested, and precision is paramount. We are actively scaling our team and technology to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare and national security.
About the Role
Reveal is developing an AI-native system designed to replace manual tasks with intelligent, explainable automation. Our goal is to achieve earned delegation, where software progressively assumes responsibility as users demonstrate competence and trust. This role is central to building the agentic intelligence layer that facilitates this progression. You will be responsible for creating AI systems that evolve from advisors to copilots, and eventually to trusted operators, all while maintaining transparency, defined boundaries, auditability, and alignment with doctrine and policy.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement production-grade LLM and agentic systems that process operational, doctrinal, and policy data into structured tasks, workflows, and resource-aware plans.
- Develop orchestration layers for workflows, tools, and human approvals to support a recommendation-first AI copilot with progressive, user-authorized agentic actions.
- Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines over doctrine, regulations, and historical data to enable constraint-aware reasoning, sequencing logic, and transparent, explainable recommendations.
- Design trust, permissioning, and rollback mechanisms that dynamically adjust system autonomy based on user behavior, experience, and operational risk.
- Instrument systems for auditability, traceability, and user trust, ensuring all outputs are explainable and linked to source inputs.
- Optimize AI systems for latency, cost, reliability, and explainability in real-world operational environments.
- Collaborate closely with product, UX, engineering, and domain experts to translate complex operational workflows into scalable, human-centered AI systems.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in AI/LLM.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying LLM-based systems in production.
- Experience building multi-step agentic AI systems.
- Experience in MLOps, including automating the process of training and deploying models and their supportive architecture.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for testing and automation.
- Experience developing or utilizing third-party solutions to evaluate and quantify model performance.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with: LLM orchestration, RAG architectures, Function/tool calling, State management across AI workflows, Vector Databases.
- Ability to reason about constraints, optimization, and dependencies.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving product environments.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with planning, scheduling, or optimization systems.
- Experience with policy-driven or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with trust modeling, human-in-the-loop systems, or safety rails.
- Prior work on systems where AI actions had real-world consequences.
- Willingness to engage deeply with users and iterate based on behavior, not theory.
Compensation
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 + Equity. Salary is determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Benefits
- Medical, Dental, Vision coverage
- HSA/FSA options
- Parental Leave
- 401(k): 100% match for the first 6% contributed
- Unlimited Paid Time Off
- Home Office Stipend
