AI Systems Developer / Generative AI Engineer

Role Overview

ShiftsDeal is searching for a highly responsible AI Systems Developer to conceptualize, build, and implement practical Generative AI systems. This position involves creating agentic AI workflows, automation pipelines, and comprehensive full-stack AI products that transition from idea to production. The ideal candidate will possess robust software engineering fundamentals combined with practical experience in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and scalable deployment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI systems utilizing LangChain, LangGraph, and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
• Construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines that incorporate vector databases and external data repositories.
• Build AI automations and workflow systems leveraging tools like n8n and various APIs.
• Integrate and deploy LLMs such as OpenAI, Gemini, and others into functional, real-world applications.
• Manage AI product development from initial prompt engineering to full production deployment, ensuring modularity, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using MERN/Next.js stacks with AI-powered backends.
• Deploy applications using Docker and cloud platforms, including AWS or similar services.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams during hackathons, pilot projects, and rapid development cycles.
• Optimize the performance, cost-efficiency, and accuracy of developed AI systems.
• Contribute significantly to architectural decisions and the overall technical strategy for AI initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Exceptional proficiency in Python and JavaScript / Node.js programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, and AI agent development methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in building RAG systems that utilize vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB).
• Familiarity with LLM APIs from providers like OpenAI and Gemini.
• Comprehensive full-stack development experience, including Next.js, MongoDB, and REST API design.
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and cloud-based deployments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with excellent debugging skills.
• A proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and deliver results under demanding timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developing AI automations or no-code/low-code workflow solutions (e.g., n8n).
• Exposure to advanced AI concepts such as MCP (Model Context Protocol) or AI systems that utilize tools.
• Participation and success in hackathons or competitive programming events.
• Previous experience in launching AI products that have been successfully adopted by end-users.

This role is offered as an Internship or Freelance position with a contract length of 3 months.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
