AI Product Engineer

About The Role

The AI Product Engineer acts as the core of Zones' internal AI incubator. This role transforms business problems into secure, reusable internal products rapidly—turning months-long processes into days or weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-stack Engineering: Own end-to-end product lifecycles from prototype to production using interfaces, services, and databases.
• AI Engineering: Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and leverage AI-assisted development tools.
• Stakeholder Translation: Collaborate directly with business owners to define requirements, scope projects, and establish success metrics for ambiguous requests.
• Quality & Deployment Ownership: Design test scenarios, validate edge cases, manage CI/CD pipelines on Azure, and handle post-launch support including monitoring and runbooks.

Tech Stack Requirements:

• .NET Core: Deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core for services/APIs with focus on performance and security.
• Front-end: Modern development using React, TypeScript, and responsive design principles.
• Databases: SQL Server modeling, stored procedures, query tuning, and schema migrations.
• Cloud & DevOps: Azure fundamentals (App Services, Containers), secret management, and pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub.

AI & Ecosystem Skills:

• Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem including D365 is a plus.
• Experience with low-code platforms like Power Automate/Power Apps to determine optimal solution paths.
• Proficiency in Python for AI/data tasks such as embeddings and vector store management alongside .NET skills.
