Role Overview
We are seeking an AI-Native Engineer to design and develop AI-first applications where Artificial Intelligence forms the foundational element, rather than an add-on feature. You will contribute to LLM-powered systems, AI agents, and intelligent workflows, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
AI Application Development
- Build and deploy AI-native applications utilizing LLMs and GenAI tools.
- Develop features such as chatbots, copilots, and AI assistants.
- Integrate AI capabilities into production systems.
LLM Integration & Prompt Engineering
- Engage with APIs from providers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Hugging Face.
- Design and optimize prompts, system instructions, and conversational workflows.
- Implement function calling and tool usage mechanisms.
RAG & Data Pipelines
- Construct Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Work with embeddings and vector databases for efficient data retrieval.
- Manage data ingestion, chunking, and semantic search processes.
Backend & System Design
- Develop scalable backend systems using Python or Node.js.
- Build APIs and microservices to support AI applications.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of AI systems.
AI Agents & Automation
- Develop sophisticated AI agents and multi-step automated workflows.
- Utilize frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
- Automate complex operational tasks through AI integration.
Evaluation & Optimization
- Evaluate AI model outputs to enhance accuracy and reduce errors.
- Minimize hallucinations and optimize prompt effectiveness.
- Optimize system latency and token costs for efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python is mandatory.
- Experience with API development and backend systems.
- Solid understanding of data structures and system design principles.
AI / GenAI Skills (Must-Have)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT and Claude.
- Prompt Engineering techniques.
- Building and deploying RAG pipelines.
- Understanding of:
- Embeddings and their applications.
- Semantic search methodologies.
- Fundamental Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts.
Tools & Frameworks
- Experience with:
- Orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Vector Databases including Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, or Chroma.
- Familiarity with the Hugging Face ecosystem.
Cloud & Deployment
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing AI SaaS products.
- Exposure to AI agents and autonomous system development.
- Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Basic frontend development knowledge (e.g., React) is a plus.
