AI / Machine Learning Engineer - Pune, India

Nova Techset Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Pune. This is a full-time, permanent position for a professional with a deep understanding of building, training, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models.

As an AI/ML Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing sophisticated AI solutions that address complex business challenges. You'll leverage your expertise in machine learning algorithms, Python programming, and data manipulation to drive innovation and deliver impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models to solve critical business problems.
• Conduct thorough data preprocessing, feature engineering, and rigorous model evaluation.
• Train, tune, and optimize machine learning models for peak performance and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, backend developers, and product management teams.
• Deploy machine learning models efficiently using REST APIs and integrate them seamlessly with existing applications.
• Monitor model performance in production and proactively support model retraining and ongoing improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for model architecture, workflows, and technical decisions.
• Continuously stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in the dynamic field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills

• Extensive experience (25 years) in AI / Machine Learning.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, including Regression, Classification, Clustering, Decision Trees, and Ensemble methods.
• Demonstrated experience with Supervised and Unsupervised learning techniques.
• Knowledge of key model evaluation metrics such as Accuracy, Precision, Recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC.

Frameworks & Libraries

• Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn.
• Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Proficiency in NumPy, Pandas, and data visualization libraries like Matplotlib/Seaborn.

Data & Databases

• Proven experience in data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Working knowledge of SQL and fundamental database concepts.
• Ability to effectively process and analyze structured and semi-structured data.

Deployment & Tools

• Basic experience in deploying ML models via APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker and foundational cloud computing concepts.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.
• Understanding of version control systems, including Git.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Computer Vision projects.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or embeddings.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like MLflow, Airflow, or Kubeflow.
• Knowledge of data visualization techniques and effective data storytelling.
• Understanding of ethical AI principles and bias mitigation strategies.
