AI Frontend Engineer

Zig.ai, a dynamic sales orchestration platform, is seeking an experienced AI Frontend Engineer for our Bangalore office. In this high-ownership role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our web and mobile platforms, particularly where users engage with AI-driven workflows. Your primary focus will be defining how workflow states, events, and AI decisions are effectively modeled and presented in the user interface. You will collaborate closely with founders, sales teams, backend engineers, and product managers, engaging directly with customers to ensure rapid iteration and safe evolution of our system. You will be building AI-first UIs using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and will design interfaces that clearly communicate the progress and outcomes of AI-driven workflows. Responsibilities include modeling and rendering complex asynchronous workflow states, managing data synchronization with React Query, designing clean UI abstractions with Shadcn and Tailwind, and building mobile experiences, ideally with React Native. You will also collaborate on API and event contracts with backend engineers and own features end-to-end. We are looking for candidates with strong frontend experience (5+ years preferred), deep proficiency in React and TypeScript, and a proven track record in building state-heavy, asynchronous UIs. A strong intuition for workflows, statuses, and transitions, along with some full-stack experience working with backend APIs, is essential. A startup mindset, characterized by fast iteration, comfort with ambiguity, and high ownership, is highly valued. Experience with React Native in production, workflow/automation products, AI-powered interfaces, and visualization of complex state are considered advantageous.
