AI Engineer – Video Surveillance

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join the Engineering Group, specifically within Software Engineering. This role focuses on developing and enhancing Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) platforms. You will be instrumental in integrating AI-driven video analytics use cases, leveraging existing machine learning and deep learning models. Key responsibilities include performance profiling, optimizing resource utilization (CPU, GPU, memory, latency), and debugging complex system-level issues across both edge and cloud components. You will collaborate closely with platform, AI, and systems engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance VSaaS solutions. Your work will involve optimizing video pipelines, inference workflows, and data paths to ensure robustness and peak performance. This position requires a strong background in C/C++ and/or Python, hands-on experience with VSaaS or video analytics platforms, and a solid understanding of performance tuning and debugging on Linux-based and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). Experience with video pipelines (RTSP, GStreamer, FFmpeg, codecs), edge AI deployments, and cloud-native architectures is highly preferred.
