Full Job Description
VAYUZ Technologies is seeking an AI Engineer Trainer to guide developers in mastering AI-augmented development workflows. This role involves hands-on training and coaching to integrate AI tools effectively into production environments.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in software engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AI-augmented development, LLM tooling, or agentic coding pipelines.
- Proven track record of shipping production applications using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Solid full-stack background covering backend APIs, frontend development, and cloud deployment.
- At least 1 year of experience delivering technical software engineering or AI/ML training.
- Demonstrated ability to coach developers on real AI workflow integration, not just theoretical concepts.
- Comfortable leading hands-on build labs for rapid, working software creation.
Required Technical Skills
- AI Coding Assistants: Claude Code (agentic coding, multi-step task orchestration, tool-use prompting, context window management, CLAUDE.md configuration), Cursor IDE (AI-supervised development, multi-file refactoring, chat-in-editor workflows, rules-for-AI configuration, tab completion discipline), CodeRabbit (PR review automation, custom review rules, .coderabbit.yaml config, hallucination flagging, merge gate setup).
- Backend: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL (REST API design, async endpoints, Alembic migrations, connection pooling).
- Frontend: React, TanStack Query (component architecture, server state management, optimistic updates, error boundaries).
- DevOps: Docker, GitHub Actions (multi-stage Dockerfiles, CI/CD pipelines, deployment on Render/Railway/Fly.io).
- Prompt Engineering: 10-component anatomy, few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought, role-based prompting, negative space prompting.
- Hallucination Detection: Identifying factual, code, API, and logic hallucinations; structured Missed Issues Report.
- Pedagogy: 70% Rule (AI generates 70%, human is 100% accountable), AI Tool Usage Charter (personal and team-level governance).
Core Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the AI Engineering Phase 1 curriculum.
- Teach the complete AI Engineering Pipeline: Prompt (Claude Code) → Generate (Cursor) → Audit (CodeRabbit) → Ship (Human Accountable).
- Facilitate mini-projects focused on solo application development and deployment.
- Oversee team projects, including stakeholder briefs, planning, sprint execution, user testing, and final presentations.
- Model and enforce the 70% Rule throughout the training program.
- Develop and maintain labs, hallucination detection exercises, daily logs, report templates, and rubrics.
- Calibrate assessments, including projects, reflections, daily logs, and hallucination reporting.
- Ensure labs and content are consistently updated with the latest changes in Claude, Cursor, and CodeRabbit.
