AI Engineer

About the Role

CGI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Lead AI Developer) with 7-12 years of experience to design, develop, and lead enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions in our Hyderabad or Bangalore locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement architectures for RAG, agentic, multi-agent, and multimodal systems using Python.
• Mentor developers on GenAI patterns and guide solution designs aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop end-to-end AI solutions utilizing LangChain, embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, ChromaDB), and prompt engineering strategies.
• Integrate LLMs with APIs and build multi-agent workflows for task orchestration.
• Support governance, security, responsible AI practices, and performance optimization of GenAI accelerators.

Required Skills:

Mastery in Python, API development (FastAPI), OpenAI/Azure/Anthropic APIs, LangChain/LangGraph, Vector Databases, Prompt Engineering, and relational/NoSQL databases. Experience with MCP and function calling is essential.
