About the Role

Join Helpshift as an Entry-Level AI Engineer! We are a leading customer service platform powered by Generative AI, helping businesses deliver exceptional support experiences across digital channels. You will work alongside experienced engineers to design and deploy intelligent systems using cutting-edge NLP, Machine Learning, and LLM technologies.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based AI/ML applications for customer support automation.
• Build and optimize NLP pipelines (Tokenization, Embeddings, Classification, Semantic Search).
• Create Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and implement RAG systems with vector databases.
• Design effective prompts and evaluate LLM responses for quality.
• Collaborate on deploying APIs via FastAPI and monitoring production models.
• Leverage MLOps tools to automate deployment, versioning, and tracking using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLflow.

What You Need

Tech Skills: Strong Python programming, Data Structures & Algorithms, Machine Learning fundamentals. Expertise in NLP (Transformers, Named Entity Recognition) and Generative AI concepts (Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning).

Familiarity with: PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain/LlamaIndex.

Nice-to-Have Projects

• Built an LLM-powered Chatbot or AI Agent using LangChain.
• Developed a RAG-based Question Answering System.
• Created an end-to-end ML deployment project with Docker/Kubernetes.
