AI Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our Solutions Architecture team at Stripe. In this role, you will build and maintain powerful AI tools, automated workflows, and custom technical assets designed to significantly improve productivity for both internal teams and strategic customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Architects, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate complex business needs into well-defined technical deliverables.
• Evaluate and integrate advanced AI capabilities—including LLMs, autonomous agents, and workflow automation—to drive measurable productivity gains rather than chasing novelty.
• Architect and build scalable internal tools that accelerate discovery, solution design, demoing, pipeline management, and product interlocks for our sales teams.
• Harden high-potential prototypes into production-grade systems with robust monitoring and maintainability.
• Identify recurring friction points across SA workflows to proactively engineer reusable solutions.
• Create custom demos and PoC applications specifically tailored for Stripe's most strategic customer engagements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architectures, tools, and usage patterns to foster team-wide adoption.
