About The AI Engineer Role

Disprz is seeking a talented AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems. This role is crucial for powering intelligent features throughout our product ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions, encompassing everything from model development and optimization to seamless integration with our existing platform.

In this position, a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and the rapidly evolving AI landscape is essential. You will be responsible for experimenting with, fine-tuning, and optimizing LLMs, designing effective prompt and agent architectures, and integrating these advanced models into reliable and scalable product experiences. Exceptional problem-solving skills, the ability to transform ambiguous requirements into practical AI workflows, and a genuine passion for advancing applied generative AI are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize LLM-powered features, including advanced prompt architectures, intelligent agent workflows, efficient retrieval systems, and robust evaluation frameworks.
• Experiment with, fine-tune, and adapt state-of-the-art foundation models to meet specific domain-driven use cases.
• Construct resilient inference pipelines and integration layers that ensure LLMs operate reliably within production environments.
• Implement comprehensive guardrails, proactive monitoring systems, and quality-control mechanisms to guarantee the safety, accuracy, and consistency of AI-generated outputs.
• Conduct rapid prototyping to validate innovative AI-driven concepts and efficiently transition successful experiments into scalable product capabilities.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in generative AI, model APIs, relevant tooling, and industry best practices, consistently identifying opportunities for application within the Disprz platform.
• Translate vague product requirements into precise technical solutions, fostering close collaboration with engineering, product, and design teams.
• Clearly communicate the trade-offs, inherent limitations, and expected performance characteristics of AI systems to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute strategically to Disprz's long-term AI vision by proposing innovative solutions, architectural designs, and improvements across the entire product ecosystem.

The Ideal Candidate

• Possesses a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or a role specifically focused on LLMs.
• Demonstrates practical experience working with LLMs and successfully adapting them for real-world product applications.
• Holds a strong foundational understanding of modern generative AI concepts, including prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and effective model evaluation techniques.
• Exhibits robust programming proficiency in Python, with a proven track record of delivering production-ready code.
• Understands the principles of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and related methodologies.
• Is familiar with modern infrastructure components crucial for deploying AI systems, such as REST APIs, Docker, and various cloud services.
• Has experience with AI/ML frameworks and tooling, including but not limited to PyTorch, Transformers, LangChain/LlamaIndex, or comparable LLM orchestration stacks.
• Holds a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a graduate degree in Data Science or another quantitative discipline is preferred.
