About the Opportunity:

As an AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying sophisticated AI systems. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to transform complex financial data into scalable, reliable AI solutions. This position demands a strong foundation in Machine Learning, proven production experience, and the ability to deliver robust models in a regulated, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy AI models for critical fintech applications including risk assessment, fraud detection, personalization, and forecasting.
• Expertly handle and process both structured and unstructured financial data.
• Integrate AI systems seamlessly into backend services through robust API development.
• Optimize AI models for maximum performance, scalability, and reliability in production.
• Partner effectively with backend and platform engineering teams to ensure scalable model deployment.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure AI outputs directly address user needs and business objectives.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, continuously enhancing model robustness.
• Actively participate in code and model reviews, promoting best practices.
• Address real-world challenges presented by noisy, high-volume financial data.
• Enhance model explainability, fairness, and compliance readiness.
• Explore and implement modern AI techniques, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and embeddings, where appropriate.
• Consistently elevate the standard for AI quality and delivery within the team.

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in AI, ML, or Applied Data Science roles.
• Proficiency in Python and core ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Demonstrated experience deploying Machine Learning models to production environments.
• Experience working with financial, transactional, or large-scale structured datasets.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both engineering and product stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in fast-paced startup environments with a high degree of ownership.
