Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a passionate and hands-on AI Camera Systems Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join their AI Camera Systems team in Hyderabad. This role is focused on developing and integrating AI-driven imaging solutions for real-time embedded systems, including mobile, IoT, and XR devices. You will play a key part in bringing deep learning-based imaging algorithms to production camera pipelines, with a strong emphasis on performance, latency, and hardware efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with a solid background in computer vision and deep learning, coupled with experience in low-level embedded system development, who are eager to transform AI algorithms into practical, device-level solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and optimize deep learning-based imaging solutions for embedded camera systems.
- Implement and optimize computer vision and image processing pipelines for real-time execution.
- Deploy and optimize deep learning models for imaging tasks such as enhancement, detection, segmentation, and other ISP-related features.
- Translate AI models into performance-optimized embedded implementations, considering memory, latency, and power constraints.
- Utilize GPU, DSP, and other hardware accelerators to enhance AI and imaging workloads.
- Collaborate with model and framework teams to design hardware-aware AI solutions that align with sensor, ISP, and SoC capabilities.
- Work with embedded OS concepts including processes, threads, memory management, and scheduling.
- Design, implement, and debug inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms within complex camera systems.
- Actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design reviews, development, testing, integration, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Analyze and resolve system-level issues related to image quality, AI inference performance, stability, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong foundation and hands-on experience in C, C++, and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Qualcomm-based platforms, understanding camera subsystems, DSP offload, and SoC-level optimization is a significant advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
