AI Applications Engineer II

Five9 is seeking a passionate AI Applications Engineer II to join our Enterprise AI Team in Bangalore or Chennai, India. This role focuses on managing, supporting, and optimizing our Google Gemini Enterprise agentic AI platform, ensuring its secure, efficient, and scalable operation across the organization. You will be primarily involved in platform administration, governance, and support for Gemini Enterprise, with dedicated time for enhancing, building, and conducting proof-of-concept work on agentic and automation projects. Your contributions will be crucial in improving performance, user experience, and integration with Five9 enterprise systems.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Applications Engineer II to manage and optimize our Google Gemini Enterprise agentic AI platform. This position requires expertise in platform administration, governance, and support, as well as hands-on experience with agentic and automation projects to drive performance and integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize Gemini Enterprise and related AI agentic functionality for seamless performance and compliance.
• Manage user provisioning, license assignments, access controls, and security policies aligned with IT, Infosec, and compliance standards.
• Oversee Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources, including AI/ML engine, storage, and Gemini AI models, focusing on reliability, performance, and cost management.
• Support cloud run workflows, CI/CD automation pipelines, and containerized environments using tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement updates, and provide support for production workloads.
• Conduct prompt engineering and workflow optimization to enhance AI accuracy, responsiveness, and relevance.
• Maintain and update documentation, runbooks, and best practice guides for platform operations and support.
• Deliver training and enablement sessions on Gemini Enterprise capabilities and AI use cases.
• Evaluate emerging Google AI and Gemini agentic technologies, recommending improvements for scalability and automation.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with an AI or data systems focus.
• A minimum of 3 years of GCP experience and 1 year of Claude experience supporting or developing AI/ML solutions on Google platforms.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML solutions/apps and MLOps best practices.
• Proficiency with GCP services such as Compute Engine, IAM, Kubernetes, VPC, and BigQuery.
• Experience in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI frameworks like Gemini Enterprise, including prompt engineering, AI agent configuration, and data governance.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and auditing practices, including DLP and Access Transparency.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
