AI Application Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

The AI Application Engineer is a customer-facing technical champion responsible for end-to-end commercialization and deployment of Lenovo's Customer Service AI Solution (CSAS). This role bridges software engineering, pre-sales consulting, and product design to act as the primary technical partner for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pre-Sales & Discovery POC Prototyping: Partner with sales teams on pitches, handle architectural discovery, and build functional AI Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) demonstrating RAG capabilities using Python/TypeScript.
• Full-Stack Implementation & Customer Deployment: Develop production-grade connectors for legacy systems (CRM, IVR), deploy containerized solutions in private/hybrid clouds, and adhere to a 'Zero Rip-and-Replace' philosophy.
• Product Model Design & RD Feedback: Act as a field Product Manager by clarifying requirements, designing structured solution models, and advocating for feature inclusion via feedback loops with core R&D teams (25% Weight).
• Sales Enablement & Value Engineering: Deliver internal technical training to sales/marketing teams and implement telemetry using Prometheus/structured logs to prove business KPIs such as Average Handling Time reductions.
