AI Application Developer

About the Role

The AI Application Developer serves as the primary builder for our projects. You will take requirements end-to-end—from understanding functional needs to delivering a working solution—and work directly with our internal IT team, who bridge the business and offshore teams.

Core Skillset

• Your core skill is interpreting requirements and translating them into precise, well-structured Claude prompts that produce high-quality code across backend, frontend, and AI services layers.

Skill Requirements

• Claude & AI Development: Build full-stack applications end-to-end using Claude (Anthropic). Practical assessment required.
• Prompt Engineering (Must Have): Write structured prompts directing Claude to produce production-quality code in Java, Python, and React.
• Business Analysis (Must Have): Interpret requirements from Aujan IT; apply analytical thinking to translate business needs into technical design.
• Backend - Java (Must Have): Experience with OpenJDK 21 and Spring Boot for business logic and REST APIs.
• Backend - Python (Must Have): Proficiency in Python and FastAPI for AI microservices layers alongside the Java backend.
• AI Frameworks: Integration of Spring AI, LangChain / LangGraph for agent-based use cases.
• Frontend & UI: Development using React, Next.js, TypeScript; building Progressive Web Apps (PWA) that are mobile-ready.
• Data: Azure SQL experience including data model design, JPA entities, and schema migrations.

AI Platform

• Familiarity with Microsoft Foundry / Azure Open AI for API calls and model selection is a strong advantage.
• Azure AI Search knowledge for querying indexes from application code is advantageous.

Infrastructure

• Docker expertise to containerize Java and Python services (Must Have).
• Basic deployment/security understanding of Azure Container Apps, Azure Entra ID / MSAL, and Azure Key Vault.

Experience Requirements

We are starting with 1 candidate but will scale as we move along. Minimum experience required is 4–5 years in software development. Demonstrable experience building applications using Claude or equivalent AI coding assistants in a production context is essential. Candidates who have built full solutions primarily through AI-assisted development will be preferred.
