ASCENT E-DIGIT SOLUTIONS PVT LTD is seeking a talented AI Agent Engineer to join our innovative team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent agent systems in production environments. You will operate at the forefront of AI, backend systems, and product development, taking ownership of end-to-end agent workflows to deliver tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI agents for production use.
- Oversee full-cycle agent orchestration, encompassing:
- Expert prompt design and continuous optimization.
- Seamless integration of tools and agent capabilities.
- Efficient workflow design and execution strategies.
- Effective memory and context management solutions.
- Intelligent routing across various AI models and providers.
- Comprehensive monitoring, logging, and robust fallback mechanisms.
- Develop and manage advanced prompting systems, including reusable prompt libraries and standardized output formats.
- Establish and maintain critical evaluation frameworks:
- Define clear success metrics for AI agents.
- Curate high-quality evaluation datasets.
- Analyze performance failures and drive iterative improvements in agent quality.
- Deliver user-centric product features across backend, frontend, and AI layers.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues within:
- LLM outputs and performance.
- Agent workflow logic and execution.
- Tool integration and compatibility.
- UI responsiveness and system bottlenecks.
- Optimize systems for exceptional latency, cost-efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to realize impactful AI-driven user experiences.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical coding experience, proficient in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Demonstrated capability to independently build, debug, and sustain production-level systems.
- Significant experience with:
- Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents.
- Tool integration and utilization best practices.
- Workflow and orchestration systems for AI.
- Advanced prompt engineering techniques and pipeline development.
- A profound understanding of AI agent reliability principles:
- Sophisticated prompt design strategies.
- Effective context and memory handling.
- Generation of structured outputs.
- Robust tool calling mechanisms.
- Implementation of retries and fallback protocols.
- Deployment of guardrails and comprehensive evaluation systems.
- Hands-on experience in building or utilizing production-ready agent frameworks or tool abstractions.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Orchestration strategies for multi-model AI systems.
- Balancing cost considerations with latency requirements.
- Effective failure handling and system observability.
- A proven ability to rapidly deploy solutions and iterate based on real-world usage data.
- A strong product-oriented mindset with a consistent focus on delivering user value.
- A track record of achieving measurable business impact, such as:
- Enhancements in system reliability.
- Significant reductions in latency or operational costs.
- Improvements in user engagement or retention rates.
