Full Job Description
EXL is actively seeking a talented and innovative Agentic AI Engineer to join our dynamic AI innovation team in Noida, India. This pivotal role is dedicated to the design, development, and implementation of advanced autonomous AI agents. These agents will be engineered to demonstrate sophisticated capabilities such as goal-directed behavior, self-reflection, and adaptive learning, enabling them to operate effectively and independently within complex and evolving environments. You will be at the forefront of integrating machine learning, cognitive architectures, and robust software engineering principles.
This is a permanent, hybrid position requiring an immediate or February joiner with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the design and implementation of agentic AI systems that excel in autonomous decision-making and intricate task execution.
- Develop and refine cognitive architectures essential for enabling advanced planning, reasoning, memory management, and self-improvement mechanisms in AI agents.
- Strategically integrate cutting-edge techniques including reinforcement learning, large language models (LLMs), and symbolic reasoning to facilitate the development of complex agent behaviors.
- Build and maintain scalable, efficient pipelines for the training, rigorous evaluation, and seamless deployment of agentic models.
- Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify promising use cases and successfully deploy agentic AI solutions into real-world applications.
- Continuously monitor and enhance agent performance through sophisticated feedback loops and ongoing learning processes.
- Champion the ethical and safe deployment of autonomous systems, ensuring strict adherence to responsible AI principles and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related technical field.
- Accumulate 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, with a pronounced focus on autonomous systems or intelligent agents.
- Demonstrate substantial experience with reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, or cognitive architectures.
- Exhibit familiarity with large language models (LLMs), advanced prompt engineering techniques, and popular agent frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGPT, or OpenAI Functions.
- Maintain a strong foundational understanding of decision theory, planning algorithms, and knowledge representation methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Gained practical experience in deploying autonomous agents in demanding real-world domains such as finance, complex operations, customer service, or robotics.
- Possess a solid understanding of ethical AI practices and robust safety mechanisms tailored for autonomous systems.
- Have made notable contributions to open-source agentic AI projects or have publications in reputable conferences or journals within the AI/ML field.
