About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team. Your primary focus will be on architecting and delivering sophisticated AI-driven and Agentforce-powered enterprise solutions. You will act as a key technical advisor to our most important clients, transforming their business objectives into robust, scalable architectures and overseeing the development and implementation of intelligent automation systems. Success in this role requires extensive knowledge of architecture, excellent consulting abilities, and practical experience in deploying enterprise AI solutions.
Your Impact
- Architect Agentic Systems: Design advanced Agentforce solutions, including multi-agent orchestration, sophisticated prompt frameworks, and autonomous workflows.
- Design AI Grounding Architectures: Lead the creation of RAG frameworks, vector database integrations, and comprehensive knowledge grounding strategies.
- Lead Technical Design: Facilitate architecture workshops and produce detailed enterprise solution blueprints.
- Define Data & Integration Strategy: Architect enterprise data ecosystems, ensuring seamless integration between Salesforce Data Cloud and external platforms.
- Serve as Escalation Authority: Expertly diagnose and resolve complex architectural and delivery challenges.
- Drive Pre-Sales Advisory: Support solution envisioning, technical discovery, and scope definition.
- Influence Product Innovation: Provide crucial Voice of the Customer feedback to product and engineering teams.
- Mentor & Enable Engineers: Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and technical enablement initiatives for the team.
Roles, Skills & Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture, solution blueprints, and phased implementation roadmaps.
- Architect multi-cloud Salesforce implementations across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and industry solutions.
- Design robust data models, object relationships, and enterprise data structures to ensure scalability, reporting, and governance.
- Define automation strategies leveraging Flow, Apex, approval frameworks, and orchestration aligned with business processes.
- Architect secure sharing and visibility controls using role hierarchy, OWD, sharing rules, and Shield patterns where necessary.
- Design and govern enterprise integration architectures using REST/SOAP, middleware, and event-driven patterns to connect Salesforce with ERP, Finance, CPQ, Marketing Automation, and data platforms.
- Define identity and access strategies using SSO, OAuth, SAML, and enterprise security standards.
- Architect large data volume (LDV) solutions, including indexing, archiving, performance tuning, and governor-limit-aware patterns.
- Establish enterprise data governance for data quality, enrichment, privacy, retention, and compliance.
- Define custom development strategies using Apex, LWC, APIs; lead code reviews and enforce patterns, reusability, and best practices.
- Establish DevOps and release frameworks using Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, Git/version control, environment strategy, and release governance.
- Lead architecture risk assessments, performance impact analysis, and serve as the escalation authority for complex issues.
- Lead Architecture Review Boards and provide design approvals for enterprise initiatives.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, solution envisioning sessions, and technical design reviews with customer stakeholders.
- Agentforce Delivery: Possess experience in at least 2 end-to-end Agentforce projects, covering discovery, solution design, implementation, rollout, and customer roadmap definition for enhancements.
- Hands-on working knowledge across Agentforce capabilities, including Agent development, Agent security/access controls, guardrails, deployment & environment strategy, and testing approaches.
- Expertise in supporting agent deployment, testing, and release management, including functional testing, grounding validation, and regression testing across environments.
- Expertise in troubleshooting agent behaviors such as hallucinations, grounding gaps, orchestration failures, and integration errors.
- Experience monitoring agent performance, refining prompts, and optimizing response quality based on user feedback and usage analytics.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to present architectures and trade-offs to senior technical and business audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex multi-system failures and driving root cause analysis (RCA).
