Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - Agentforce

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled technologist to join our Forward Deployed Engineering Team as a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer. This pivotal role involves architecting and implementing sophisticated enterprise solutions powered by AI and Agentforce. You will act as a key technical advisor to strategic clients, translating complex business challenges into scalable architectures and guiding the development and deployment of intelligent automation systems. Success in this role requires profound architectural expertise, strong consulting capabilities, and hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Your Impact

• Architect Agentic Systems: Design advanced Agentforce solutions encompassing multi-agent orchestration, sophisticated prompt frameworks, and autonomous workflows.
• Design AI Grounding Architectures: Spearhead the development of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, vector database integrations, and robust knowledge grounding strategies.
• Lead Technical Design: Facilitate architecture workshops and create comprehensive enterprise solution blueprints.
• Define Data & Integration Strategy: Architect enterprise data ecosystems, seamlessly integrating Salesforce Data Cloud with external platforms.
• Serve as Escalation Authority: Diagnose and resolve intricate architectural and delivery challenges.
• Drive Pre-Sales Advisory: Support solution envisioning, technical discovery, and scope definition.
• Influence Product Innovation: Provide critical Voice of the Customer feedback to product and engineering teams.
• Mentor & Enable Engineers: Lead knowledge-sharing sessions and technical enablement initiatives.

Roles, Skills & Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures, solution blueprints, and phased implementation roadmaps.
• Architect multi-cloud Salesforce implementations, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and industry-specific solutions.
• Design robust data models, object relationships, and enterprise data structures to ensure scalability, reporting efficiency, and governance.
• Define automation strategies utilizing Flow, Apex, approval frameworks, and orchestration aligned with business processes.
• Architect secure sharing and visibility models using role hierarchy, Org-Wide Defaults, sharing rules, and Shield patterns where necessary.
• Design and govern enterprise integration architectures using REST/SOAP, middleware, and event-driven patterns to connect Salesforce with ERP, Finance, CPQ, Marketing Automation, and data platforms.
• Define identity and access strategies leveraging SSO, OAuth, SAML, and enterprise security standards.
• Architect solutions for handling large data volumes (LDV), including indexing, archiving, performance tuning, and governor-limit-aware patterns.
• Establish enterprise data governance practices encompassing data quality, enrichment, privacy, retention, and compliance.
• Define custom development strategies using Apex, LWC, and APIs, leading code reviews and enforcing patterns, reusability, and best practices.
• Establish DevOps and release frameworks using Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, Git/version control, environment strategies, and release governance.
• Lead architecture risk assessments, performance impact analyses, and serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead Architecture Review Boards and provide design approvals for enterprise initiatives.
• Facilitate discovery workshops, solution envisioning sessions, and technical design reviews with customer stakeholders.
• Agentforce Delivery: Possess experience in at least 2 end-to-end Agentforce projects, including involvement in discovery, solution design, implementation, rollout, and defining customer roadmaps for enhancements.
• Hands-on working knowledge across Agentforce capabilities: Agent development, Agent security/access controls, guardrails, deployment & environment strategy, and testing approaches.
• Expertise in supporting agent deployment, testing, and release management, including functional testing, grounding validation, and regression testing across environments.
• Expertise in troubleshooting agent behaviors such as hallucinations, grounding gaps, orchestration failures, and integration errors.
• Experience monitoring agent performance, refining prompts, and optimizing response quality based on user feedback and usage analytics.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to present architectures and trade-offs to senior technical and business audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex multi-system failures and driving root cause analysis (RCA).
