Arista is seeking an Advisory Systems Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to provide advanced post-sales support and technical guidance to account teams, addressing specific customer needs within Routing & Switching environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and troubleshooting customer deployments, requiring strong communication skills with internal teams, clients, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced Pre-Sales & Post-sales engineering support as a trusted advisor for Arista's Open Networking Data Centre and Campus networking deployments for enterprise and commercial customers.
  • Offer expert advice on architectural questions, product prerequisites, and features.
  • Translate complex business requirements into robust Leaf-Spine Network solutions.
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales Engineers and Account Executives to design effective Network solutions.
  • Review and recommend improvements for customer network designs, focusing on EVPN, VxLAN, and leaf-spine architectures.
  • Assist with implementation, change controls, and proof of concepts (POC) to validate design scenarios.
  • Conduct in-depth testing and provide bug scrubs, along with code recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between TAC, internal development teams, and customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and customers.
  • Participate in partner events and provide ongoing training to customer teams globally.
  • Maintain continuous learning to uphold expertise.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand client business objectives and technical needs.
  • Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for sales and clients.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment regularly.
  • Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field; advanced vendor certifications (ACE, CCIE, JNCIE) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and deploying large-scale data center and enterprise campus networks, including wireless, routing, security, and Network Access Control (NAC).
  • Deep expertise in EVPN/VXLAN, leaf-spine architectures, OSPF, BGP, multicast, and segmentation strategies.
  • Proven experience in network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs) and feature evaluation for high-performance environments.
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to lead complex design discussions, deliver compelling technical presentations, and influence C-level decisions.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills, essential for operating as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.
